Jazz and Blues

My father introduced me to jazz when I was young – he played sax. I remember listening to Coleman Hawkins and Lester Young LPs at an impressionable age.  I tried to learn jazz from Mickey Baker’s book, the only one available at the time, but it was too difficult, so I turned to playing the blues, playing by ear along with Muddy Waters and Johnny Winter albums.

So, what follows are some performances, rehearsals, scores and ideas in the jazz and blues veins.
